How can I set up my Infobar campaign?

1. Create a new campaign

To create a new campaign click once on Infobars on the left hand-side of your Wordpress dashboard.

Then click on Add new.

You will now be presented with the Add new campaign screen.

2. Choose your global settings

Within a campaign you may have several variants of your infobars rotating.

For instance you may use three different infobars with different colors to find out which one performs best.

Your Global settings will apply to all your infobars within the same campaign.

The Global settings are the following:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Campaign name: this is the name of your campaign. For instance if you are promoting an ebook, it could be “Ebook campaign”.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Display position: determines the position of your infobar, either on the header (top) or footer (bottom) of your site

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Select browsers: select on which specific browsers you want your campaign to show (Firefox, Chrome, etc.). By default, All targets all website visitors. You may also target mobile users (upgrade only)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Select pages: choose on which pages, posts or categories you want to display the infobar on.

All pages refers to all the pages of your site

Homepage refers to your homepage only

Innerpages refers to all your pages but the homepage.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Exclude pages: choose on which pages, posts or categories your infobars should not appear.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Show infobar: choose when do you want to run the campaign. You can run your campaign everyday or on selected dates.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Time before infobar appears: number of seconds before your infobar appears (upgrade only)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Page before infobar appears: number of page views before your infobar is displayed. 1 views means that infobar will show as soon as your visitor lands. 2 views means your visitor will need to at least visit one page before the infobar appears, etc.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Don’t reshow infobar for: number of days before your infobar will be shown again (after a visitor has closed it).

If you choose 0 days, then if a visitor closes your infobar it will show again the next time the visitor reopens his browser.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Pick best converting automatically: number of impressions before Infobar for WP automatically selects the winning variant within your campaign (upgrade only)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Once you have set up your Global settings according to your strategy (please refer to the companion Strategy Manual PDF to learn more) you can start creating your infobar variants.
